Greyhounds Make Greyt Pets

I chipped . . .

After Timber's Scary Story was over, Marilyn and the gang at Greyhound Adoption Service were greatly relieved.  Timber had lived there for five months before she came home.  Rather than mail back the muzzle I had borrowed when she came home, I made a personal visit so they could see her.

Marilyn said "don't look at this one if you don't want to take another one home with you."  And I didn't.  But my roommate — who for some reason had insisted one dog and five cats were enough — looked at him.  Next thing I knew she was on the floor with him telling him how much she loved him and would he like to come live at our house.

And he and Timber just kept smiling at each other.  Timber really made the final call.

Pass the chips . . .

Note:  In November, 1999, I failed at fostering and added Oatmeal to the mix.  In Quincy, Mass., you need a kennel license to own four or more dogs, so I'm pretty sure I'm done chipping now.
